Municipal Emergency Management Plan revision

Project Overview

The Pyrenees Shire Municipal Emergency Management Plan has been revised and this is your opportunity to view it and provide feedback.

This Plan (it is called the MEMP for short) informs you and our community on what happens in the event of a natural disaster, like a bushfire or flood. It has been prepared by the response agencies (e.g., CFA, SES, Victoria Police) operating locally.

The revised Pyrenees Shire Municipal Emergency Management Plan can be downloaded from the document library on this page.

Hard Copies are also available from the Beaufort Council Office and Resource Centres in Beaufort and Avoca for public viewing.

Feedback can be provided via the Contact section on this Engagement Hub page, by email topyrenees@pyrenees.vic.gov.auor mail to Pyrenees Shire Council, 5 Lawrence Street, Beaufort 3373.

Submissions must be received before 5:00pm on Friday 25 August 2023.

Operational plans support the MEMP. These are also being revised this year and you will have the opportunity to participate more fully in those reviews soon. Let us know if you are interested by sending an email to pyrenees@pyrenees.vic.gov.au.
