Community Engagement & Communications – Guide us in our plans for improvement

Project Overview

As promised in 2021, Council is offering the opportunity for its community to support the review of its Community Engagement & Communications Policy and the development of a new Engagement & Communications Strategy. These documents will be underpinned by detailed guidelines leading our staff in the right level and method of engagement for any project or proposal that would benefit from your input, based on the IAP2 engagement methodology.

Links to both documents are available under the Document Library and your feedback will be used to finalise the way we move forward. The documents are available for viewing in hard copy at the Beaufort Shire Offices, Beaufort Community Resource Centre, Avoca Information and Community Centre, or you can request a copy by calling 1300 797 363 or emailing pyrenees@pyrenees.vic.gov.au.

Community Engagement Strategy and Policy released for feedback

We are reviewing Council’s Engagement Policy and developing a new Communications & Engagement Strategy 2022-2025. Draft documents have been prepared and we would welcome your feedback via the Contact section on this Engagement Hub.

These framework documents will be supported by Engagement Guidelines that will direct staff into the most appropriate method and level of engagement for a particular project, and a Communications and Engagement Plan which will be published at the start of each year detailing the planned engagement opportunities for our community.
