The Avoca River Frontage Reserve is situated within the traditional lands of the Dja Dja Wurrung people at the heart of Avoca. The site supports a mixture of free form leisure uses, camping, as well as events and markets. Council is seeking to understand how the community values and uses the Avoca River Flat Reserve between Bridport and Duke Streets. The majority of this land is currently managed by the Department of Environment, Land, Water and Planning (DELWP). New regulations are in force which may impact existing and future activities at the site. We are wishing to hear from the Avoca community and other users of the site to help Council to understand what role it may play in guiding future land management decisions.
